We were born from i&i Prague. This bio-innovation centre specializes in the transfer of new technologies into practice. It was established as a subsidiary of the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and primarily focuses on innovations in the areas of drug discovery, diagnostics, and medical devices developed by academic institutions. It supports the creation of spin-offs and the sale of licenses.Support of i&i Prague consists in sourcing deals through i&i Prague’s own relationships with regional R&D organizations, identification of projects with great commercial potential, evaluation of projects, assistance with business setup, potential to invest in projects incubated by i&i Prague, with clear rules basically covering only incubation costs of i&i without any profit.

i&i Biotech fund is supported by an investment from the EIF, with the support of lnnovFin Equity, with the financial backing of the EU under Horizon 2020 Financial Instruments and the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) set up under the Investment Plan for Europe (the purpose of EFSI is to help support financing and implementing productive investments in the European Union and to ensure increased access to financing) and the Pan-European Guarantee Fund (EGF), implemented by the EIF with the financial support of the Participating Member States (the objective of EGF is to respond to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by ensuring that companies in the Participating Member States have sufficient short-term liquidity available to weather the crisis and are able to continue their growth and development in the medium to long-term).

IOCBTech is a technology transfer office and subsidiary company of IOCB. The company matches results of basic research done at the IOCB with needs of commercial partners to ultimately bring new ideas in medicinal chemistry, material sciences, and other fields of chemistry to human use.

IOCB Prague is a leading research institution under the umbrella of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Their mission is basic research at the interface of chemical and biological sciences, and translation of results from basic research into applications and commercial assets.

Charles University Innovations Prague a.s. (CUIP) is a subsidiary of Charles University, which was founded on 22nd June 2018. Its goal is to encourage and facilitate transfer of knowledge and technology from academic research into daily life.
